Shakib Al Hasan reached in rare milestone

Shakib Al Hasan becomes second Bangladeshi cricketer to score nine thousand international runs. Bangladesh cricket team are playing second and last Test match of New Zealand tour against the Black Caps in Christchurch. Shakib Al Hasan scored 59 runs in the first innings, on the way to his 25th fifty he has been reached in this rare milestone. 

Tamim Iqbal who is leading run scorer in all of the three-formats for Bangladesh in international cricket was becoming first cricketer to score 9000 international runs but Shakib Al Hasan becomes first Bangladeshi all-rounder who can able to score 9000 international runs alongside picking to take 300+ international wickets.

Before the kick off second Test, Shakib was 45 runs behind to reach this milestone. Meanwhile Shakib has been scored 59 runs he reached in this milestone as the only second Bangladeshi batsman. His total international runs are now 9009.

Shakib Al Hasan needs to play 46 Tests, 166 ODIs and 57 T20I matches to score 9000 international runs. He has been scored 3205 runs in Tests, 4650 runs in ODIs and 1159 runs in T20Is. 10 centuries and 57 half-centuries also besides his name in international cricket.
